Protect Environment
We who live in California are constantly aware of the danger of wildland fire. We have seen the devastation this type of conflagration can cause, both in the loss of life and property.
Make Big Impact
Many of those who have lost their lives to a wildland fire are firefighters. However, they are more than just firefighters. They are men and women who live in your communities, who own homes, whose children attend the local schools, and who often become mere statistics when they lose their lives fighting wildland fires.
Unite The Society
To honor these individuals, a partnership of several public agencies representing the wildland firefighting community, the firefighters themselves, and private sector supporters created the California Wildland Firefighter Memorial project.
The California Wildland Firefighter Memorial was built entirely with donor contributions. Its sole purpose is to honor anyone who perished fighting wildland fires in California, regardless of agency or position. Now that the physical memorial has been completed, there is a need for maintenance funding and we appreciate your assistance.
You may also make contributions by simply mailing a check to the P.O. Box listed above. There is no minimum amount required. Remember all donations are tax deductible.
We seek to create an endowment for continual care of the Memorial, as well as repairs, and updating the memorial listings. Space is still available for additional engraving on bricks in the memorial walkway.
